ABOUT THE INSTITUTION

Trade the measurable world.

Field Exchange is an educational paper-trading experiment for natural systems: weather, space weather, seasons, ecology proxies and a few everyday ratios. The instruments use CR game credits. No money enters or leaves the exchange.

Reality supplies the evidence

Named public datasets provide dated observations. Fixed formulas turn compatible measurements into indices. A deterministic market model produces the intraday CR path around those evidence anchors. AI may draft clearly attributed commentary; it cannot set a price or manufacture a missing observation.

The archive supplies the myth

The exchange’s “since 1932” history is an alternate-history artwork: a social trading network that somehow existed before the modern internet. Its founders, traders and conversations are fictional unless a page says otherwise. Historical events and cultural references are grounded in published records, then viewed through the institution’s peculiar mythology.

What a visitor can do

Explore 25 natural indices, compare four charts, inspect MA and RSI, browse the evidence desk, take paper positions and join sourced discussions after signing in with ChatGPT. Prices, fills and balances are part of the game.

FIELD EXCHANGE / A SMALL FORMALITY

Before the opening bell.

Educational paper trading, with a touch of parody. CR are game credits, not money. Market prices are simulated; nothing here is investment advice.

The archive mixes sourced history with imagined people, conversations and AI-created imagery. Public browsing and guest paper positions are open; sign in before publishing or joining shared market flow.
